Skaggs Photo grew out of our creative work. When the assets we were given couldn't support the creative we were developing, we shot what was needed.

Every shoot starts the same way. The product, the foundation it was built on, and the question of how those two things become a single image. Not a mood board. Not a brief executed against a trend reference. The work starts with what the brand actually is and goes from there. It's how we've shot for Diptyque, Charlotte Tilbury, Morphe, Surratt, Keranique, BIOEFFECT, Buchart Colbert and others.

The angle, the light, the background: none of those are decided in pre-production. They reveal themselves once the shooting starts. That requires looking at what is actually in front of you rather than executing against a reference. Every shoot produces what was asked for. It also produces the shot nobody planned for but everybody wants. That one comes from staying in the process long enough to see it.

That is the difference between product photography and content photography. One lasts. The other doesn't.
